Make the Most of Your Weekends
Don’t waste another nice weekend indoors – help prepare your lawn for the coming weather.

Remove all lawn debris (rocks, sticks and leaves).
Mow at least three inches and remove clippings debris at spring green-up.
Mow before the grass gets taller than five inches.
Fertilize with one pound of actual nitrogen per thousand square feet. A fertilizer with a 3-1-2 or a 4-1-2 ratio is suitable.
Apply broadleaf herbicides as necessary for control of chickweed, herbit or other weeds.
Do not core your lawn, wait until fall for that.
With a little work each month, within two seasons you should have a vibrant, green lawn that will be the envy of all the neighbors!
