Charlotte Real Estate Listings Dilworth
Myers Park and Dilworth are two of the original suburbs of Charlotte, N.C., linked to the main city by streetcar lines. The area, known as the “Old South,” contains some of Charlotte’s most charming, historical and eclectic streets and neighborhoods. Dilworth was developed in the 1890s, outside the original city limits. Laid out in a grid pattern centered on East Boulevard, Dilworth has a warm, historic feel and family-friendly atmosphere. New developments in Dilworth feature modern living options as well. The community’s tree-lined streets and bungalows with front porches are balanced by independent, neighborhood businesses offering distinctive items and personal service. Shopping centers and businesses are peppered along East Boulevard, South Boulevard, Morehead Street and Kings Drive. Nearby Myers Park is one of the most prestigious addresses in all of Charlotte. Myers Park, like Dilworth, contains historic architecture and quaint, tree-lined streets. Where Myers Park differentiates itself, however, is in its layout. The neighborhood was designed with curving streets, to flow with the natural landscape. With massive oak trees and winding roads, Myers Park seems more like a weekend retreat than an in-city neighborhood. Most of the residential properties of Myers Park are older, traditional homes; but, like Dilworth, a few modern development projects have added condominiums and townhouses to the options available. The shopping and dining district of Myers Park is located along the eastern edge of the community, just off of Providence Road.
